Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
VIENNA – Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) President Angela Gerekou had a meeting with the managing director of Vienna’s Schonbrunn Museum, Klaus Panholzer, and its head of Research Documentation, Dr. Elfriede Iby, to discuss possible cooperation between Corfu’s Achilleion Palace and the Museum, as well as the transfer of know-how.
The meeting was requested by Gerekou and held on Wednesday at the Schonbrunn summer palace, where Princess Sissi once lived, on the sidelines of Gerekou’s trip to the Austrian capital ahead of the ‘FerienMesse 2020 International Tourism Fair’, which will run between January 16-19.
During the meeting, Gerekou underlined the special importance of cultural tourism for both countries, as well as the importance and recognition that the Achilleion enjoys internationally.
