LYNN. Agamemnon Voyiagis, age 88 of Lynn, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday January 7, 2020. He was the husband of the late Anastasia (Kalipolites) Voyiagis, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Born in Dafia, Greece, he was the son of the late Constantine and Thelkiope Voyiagis. He had proudly served in the Greek Army as a radioman before he came to this country in 1960.

He was the owner of A. Voyiagis Tuxedos on Western Avenue in Lynn since 1972.

An active member and former member of the board of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, he was a proud and respected member of the Greek Community. He was a hardworking family man but also enjoyed his time off traveling with his wife, especially to Greece and Florida.

Agamemnon is survived by three children; Theodore Voyiagis, Constantine Voyiagis, both of Lynn, and Thelxi Cote and her husband Scott of Swampscott, six grandchildren; Christopher, Maryemma, Ella, Lucas, Skye, and Grace, a sister Maritza Kantanas and her husband Dimitri of Lynn, and several nieces and nephews in the United States as well as Greece. He was also the father of the late Christopher Voyiagis and the brother of the late Euripides, Kemon, and Kallope.

A Funeral Service was held on Monday at 11:00AM in St. George Greek Orthodox Church 54 South Common St., Lynn followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends attended. Visiting hours were held on Sunday from 3:00PM-7:00PM in the Solimine Funeral Home 426 Broadway (RTE129), Lynn.
