Dulos Case: New Canaan House for Sale/ Troconis Seeks Permission for Travel to NYC

December 2, 2019

STAMFORD, CT – As the search for Jennifer Dulos continues, since her May 24 disappearance, the New Canaan house she lived in has been put up for sale, the Patch.com reported, adding that the home is listed for $2.995 million on realtor.com.

Authorities no longer need access to the home since their search for evidence there has concluded, the Stamford Advocate reported.

The house has been cleaned and is ready to move into, according to the builder and owner Arnold Karp, the Patch reported, adding that Karp told the Advocate that he does not believe that she died in the home.

Located on Welles Lane, the 9,800-square-foot home has six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms, on 2.05 acres of land, according to the real estate listing. Built in 2015, the home is presented by Jennifer Leahy with Douglas Elliman – Greenwich.

The listing on realtor.com notes the home’s features, “New Canaan, New Construction! Gracefully situated on two acres in a sought after west side cul de sac. This recently built award winning Karp Associates home features an incredible floor plan. High ceilings, 6 spacious bedrooms, 7 full and 2 half baths occupy the 3 floors. The eat-in chef’s kitchen with an open floor plan leads to a generous family room. Perfect for everyday living and entertaining every detail is thoughtfully planned out. Hip shiplap directs you out to the expansive yard. An elegant front hall leads you to a generously sized formal living and dining room. Beautiful architectural detail throughout! All located minutes from town, schools, trains, parks, and more.”

Michelle Troconis who has been charged, along with her ex-boyfriend Fotis Dulos, estranged husband of Jennifer Dulos, with tampering with evidence and hindering prosecution in the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos. Both have pleaded not guilty, but Troconis is now asking the court for permission to pick up her daughter from New York’s JFK airport.

In a motion filed on November 25, “defense attorney Andrew Bowman said his client wants to travel to John F. Kennedy Airport Dec. 13 to meet her daughter who is flying in from Argentina, and will then return to Connecticut,” the Stamford Advocate reported, adding that “the motion states the prosecution does not object to the motion, noting Troconis has complied with the conditions of her release.”

Troconis and Fotis Dulos “are free on bail, but are tracked by GPS monitoring devices and are not permitted to leave Connecticut with a judge’s approval,” the Advocate reported, noting that “a judge previously granted Troconis permission to travel to New York from June 30 to July 17, but she returned to Connecticut after just one day because her GPS device had a weak signal, her attorney said.”

November 24 marked six months since Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance. The mother of five and her estranged husband were in the process of getting divorced at the time.
