Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS- Veteran left-wing politician Manolis Glezos, aged 97, was on Thursday admitted to an Intensive Care Unit at the 417 Army Equity Fund Hospital (NIMTS), suffering from acute respiratory failure.
Glezos had orignally been admitted to an ordinary ward in the hospital’s pathology clinic for respiratory problems but his doctors decided to transfer him to an ICU after his condition deteriorated.
Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias visited Glezos in hospital on Thursday, speaking with him and his doctors. Kikilias also briefed Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, currently on a trip abroad, on the Glezos’ condition and conveyed the prime minister’s best wishes for a speedy recovery.
