Turkish Fighter Jets Enter Athens FIR Without Submitting Flight Plan

Two Turkish fighter jets entered the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) without submitting flight plans on Monday, and at 12:03 flew over the islets of Anthropofagi and Makronisi, between Ikaria and Agathonisi, at an altitude of 22,400 feet.

Another two Turkish fighter jets flew over the same islets a minute later.

According to the Greek National Defence General Staff, the two F-16s and two F-4s of the Turkish Air Force were recognised and intercepted by Greek fighter jets.
