Newsflash: The European Parliament Elections are not about the Greek Civil War

On May 26, 2019, the Greek people, as well as voters in the 27 member states of the European Union, will elect their representatives to the European Parliament.

They will vote on their future and the future of the EU. The representatives who will emerge from these elections are likely to be called upon to make decisions that will determine the EU’s future.

  1. The Greek Civil War was started by Venizelos in 1909 and ended with the arrest of Cufodinas.
    Daliance with Cufodinas constitute a revival of the Civil War.

  2. No surprise there given that Tsipras looks to Che and Chavez as his idols. Still, it is sad and depressing that Greece, presumably an advanced Western country, is being led by such a Jurassic Park ideologue.
