BOSTON – His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America invited all Clergy of the Archdiocese of America, including the retired, to an Archpastoral Teleconference on Thursday May 16, 1-2 PM EST.

The Clergy throughout the United States were notified by a letter sent by Metropolitan Methodios of Boston, recently appointed Archiepiscopal Vicar, via e-mail.

Methodios wrote that: “His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America will welcome all Clergy of the Archdiocese, active and retired, to join him in teleconference on Thursday, May 16, 2019, beginning at 1:00 PM EST and ending at 2:00 PM.”

He also wrote that “Archbishop Elpidophoros is eager to address the beloved and respected Clergy of the Holy Archdiocese, to give them his blessing, and to hear – as much as it is possible – the Clergy’s hopes and concerns. This teleconference is for clergy only, reflecting the devotion and appreciation of Archbishop Elpidophoros for them and their service to the Mother Church and Archdiocese of America. Please respect that parameter and join us on this coming Thursday at 1:00 PM.”

He provided in his letter the telephone number and also the specific codes required for the Clergy to be able to connect.

It is the first time in the ecclesiastical life of the Archdiocese that such an event is taking place, with an Archbishop-elect wanting to communicate live by telephone with his Clergy. This initiative is indicative of the special relationship of love, honor, and cooperation that the new Archbishop with to establish with his clergy.

The enthronement of Archbishop Elpidophoros will take place on Saturday June 22 at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York, with Metropolitan Avgoustinos of Germany representing Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Amazing. So modern. Maybe the text one will even use Skype or even email!

    1. The Turks have taught them technology. Next is the fax machine and regular suits not Imperial Robes.

  2. My question to all these hierarchs is: “where is the humility?” If these so called hierarchs from what I have been told, represent “Christ,” why is it they continue to dress up like emperors?
