Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – There will be no buses, trolleys and electric trains in Athens on Wednesday, May 1 (Labour Day) due to the 24-hour strike declared by the workers’ union.
The Athens metro and the tram will start their daily service from 09:00 until the end of the shift, following the Sunday timetable.
Additionally, no trains will be running throughout the country, including the suburban railway (proastiakos), while there will be no metro service from Doukissis Plakentias to the Airport.
All Athens-Thessaloniki late-night trains departing at midnight (Tuesday to Wednesday) will be cancelled. The night trains 600 and 601 will be carried out normally after the end of the strike at Wednesday midnight.
