NEW YORK – After only two months, celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse has ended his first venture into the New York restaurant scene, terminating his consulting agreement with Rodos, located in the Hotel Henri, 37 West 24th Street in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, Eater NY reported.
A representative confirmed that Lagasse’s We Love Food Hospitality consulting group had quit working with the Greek restaurant, Eater NY reported, adding that it was “the first project that Lagasse’s newly launched consulting division within his restaurant group took on.”
Restaurateurs Yiannis Chatiris and Eleni Vareli own the restaurant though Lagasse had consulted on the menu and added some of his signature Cajun-Creole flavor, Eater NY reported.
“With the termination of our contracting relationship for that project, Emeril no longer has any involvement with Rodos,” Lagasse’s representative told Eater NY in a statement.
The reason for the termination was not disclosed and requests for further comment were not answered at press time.
