To the Editor:
Thank you for the article “EU Blames Greece for Shameful Refugee, Migrant Detention Centers” but I don’t see how the EU can blame Greece when it has so many problems of its own without the influx of refugees and migrants to deal with these days. It was completely unrealistic to think Greece could handle all the people coming in when the people of Greece are struggling themselves to make ends meet. The economic crisis may be over, according to some “experts” and “politicians,” but the refugees and migrants are still there in a country most of them don’t want to be in. Blaming one country or another for the conditions in detention centers doesn’t help anyone either. If the EU feels so bad about the conditions, some of the other EU nations should send aid to Greece or take in some more refugees themselves.
