Greece: Strong Winds Tie Up Ferries in Ports on Friday

ATHENS – Strong winds reaching up to 9 on the Beaufort scale in several parts of the Aegean Sea continued to keep ferries docked in the ports on Friday.

There are no services from the port of Piraeus to Cyclades while ships serving the Saronic Gulf are operating.

There is no service in Pachi, Megara and Faneromeni, Salamina as well as Agia Marina-Nea Styra, Arkitsa-Aidipsos, Volos-Sporades and Kavala-Prinos are closed.

Port authorities have forbidden the departure of ships from Rafina and Lavrio.
