Passenger Αrrivals in Rhodes Αirport up 3.2 pct in August

RHODES, Greece – Passenger arrivals in the “Diagoras” airport in Rhodes grew 3.2 pct in August compared with the same month last year, totaling 465,081 passengers from 450,852 in August 2017, Fraport said in an announcement on Monday.

Travel agents on the island of Rhodes said passenger traffic was rising also in September and they expect an increase in October, supporting estimates of a new record in tourist arrivals this year.

Passenger arrivals will total around 4.0 millon in the January-August period, up 6.5 pct compared with the corresponding period in 2017. Most arrivals came from the UK, Germany, Italy, Israel, Poland and Russia.
