Using the Wrong Immigration Terminology Can Actually Harm Persons Here Illegally

The title of my most recent book, published last year, is Stop Calling Them “Immigrants.” If one were to indeed “judge a book by its cover,” he or she might conclude that it is jingoistic, nativist, xenophobic, and anti-immigrant. And he or she would be wrong.
