The Aegean Cuisine network, “the ambassador of Cycladic gastronomy”, already counts more than 171 catering businesses on 20 Cyclades islands among its members, the Chamber of the Cyclades Islands announced on Tuesday.

The Aegean Cuisine initiative is an important tool for the promotion of the islands’ wine and gastronomy. It consists of a network of local enterprises that offer visitors an authentic ‘taste’of the Cyclades islands and the Aegean Sea through gastronomic experiences and by exploiting a rich variety of local products.

Currently, a second phase for the inclusion of products in the Aegean Cuisine network is underway, which will be called “Aegean Cuisine Recommended” and will link the islands’ gastronomy with local farm products. The results are to be announced soon.

More information on the Aegean Cuisine initiative and its members is available on the website by clicking an island as well as via the Cyclades Chamber platform for tourists by chosing a destination and clicking on the category Food.
