The Pancyprian Cultural Division presents In Foreign Land at the Queens Theatre in the Park on June 8.

NEW YORK – The Pancyprian Association of America Cultural Division presents In Foreign Land (Tora pou pas stin xenitia), a theatrical concert on Friday, June 8, 7:30 PM at the Queens Theatre in the Park, 14 United Nations Ave S in Corona. The production features the talented soloists and chorus of The Pancyprian Choir of NY and The Pancyprian Actors of NY, under the direction of Pancyprian Cultural Division Artistic and Musical Director Phyto Stratis, performing some of the most beloved songs of renowned composers Hadjidakis, Theodorakis, Xarhakos, and Loizos.

The journey begins with Louis, an immigrant, saying goodbye to his loved ones, as he sets off for a new, better life in America.

“Never forget who you are! Never forget your country! Never forget! Sing your country and keep your identity alive,” says the family during their emotional farewell. An exciting journey to the unknown begins.

Through the character’s journey, we celebrate our culture and heritage as we honor every brave “Louis” in all of us, who at some point in his life had to make both the decision and the journey; the journey In Foreign Land.
