Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
LOS ANGELES – The American Hellenic Council’s Annual Awards Gala is the hallmark event of the year for the Hellenic-American community of Southern California, bringing together hundreds of the most active Greek and Cypriot Americans to honor those who have made huge contributions to the Hellenic Cause in their various fields, including business, philanthropy, entertainment, and public service.
The 44th annual AHC Awards Gala will be held on March 31st, 2018 at the Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. This year’s event will pay homage to three outstanding individuals that have had a major impact in their respective fields and towards the Hellenic Cause. The President and CEO of Earth Friendly Products, Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks; world-renowned archaeologist, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Professor of Classics, and Director of the Athenian Agora, American School of Classical Studies at Athens, Prof. John Camp; and Real Estate Developer, Political Activist, and Philanthropist, Aris Anagnos.
