Eparchial Synod Holds Special Meeting for Chicago Metropolitan Three-Person Ballot f

NEW YORK – His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios Geron of America has called a special meeting of the Holy Eparchial Synod on February 5in order to select the trioprosopon (three-person ballot) for the election of the next metropolitan of Chicago, who will succeed the late Metropolitan Iakovos.

  1. Nicholas is an excellent choice, if Metropolitan Nikitas is not chosen. Demetrios of Mokissos is by far the most disliked candidate and should be sent to some place where he is never heard of again.

  2. Metropolitan Nikitas would be the appropriate candidate period. Anybody else falls way short. Demetrios of Mokissos would be the wrong choice and would be the reason my family and I would leave the Greek Orthodox Church. The Archbishop should do something right before he gets ousted for his money missmanagement
