Oscar Winner’s Greek Flavor

It wouldn’t be an “Oscar night” without at least some “Greek flavor,” and the 88th Academy Awards was no exception, as cinematographer Michael Paleodimos joined the rest of the crew and cast of the Stutterer in celebrating the top prize in the category of Best Live Action Short Film.

The short film is billed as revolving around the plot of a “… a lonely typographer (Greenwood) who struggles to overcome his speech impediment while attempting to form a romantic relationship.” The protagonist flirts with a woman online, although the cyber medium at first conceals the fact that he stutters.

Paleodimos, billed as a director, photographer and cinematographer, is reportedly based in Australia, with Greek media reports claiming he left Greece to pursue his dream of movie-making.

Another report states that Paleodimos is a London resident and in the process of completing two more short films.
