Μedusa DOP Chapter 345 Initiates 11 New Members

MERRICK, NY – The Medusa Chapter of the Daughters of Penelope held a wonderful initiations event on November 14. The Sisters of Medusa welcomed new members Eva Sideris, Theanne Ricci, Marina Vlahos, Vivian Jepp, Tania (Ronnie) Nanos, Mary Vouloukos, Mary Pavlounis, Evangelina Nanos Papagianopoulos, Regina Dempsey, Joanne Christodoulou, and Bessie Drenis. They also welcomed Sisters Fran Lutfy and Nicole Rousakis, who transferred into the chapter.

Another highlight of the evening was the celebration of Founder’s Day, which commemorated the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Daughters of Penelope by Alexandra Apostolides. The mission of Alexandra’s dream is to promote Hellenism, Education, Philanthropy, Civic Responsibility, and Family and Individual Excellence.

The evening’s festivities took place at the church hall of St. Demetrios in Merrick. The chapter was honored to have District Governor Lainie Damaskos-Christou, District Secretary Demetra Versocki, and District Marshal Effie Argyropoulos attend the event.
