Greek Culture and Tourism Minister Pavlos Geroulanos visited the headquarters of the United Nations, where he gave an address from the rostrum of the UN General Assembly within the framework of discussions on cultural heritage. Mr. Geroulanos spoke immediately following the approval of a proposal for the return or restitution of cultural property to the countries of origin (document A/64/L.17), submitted by Greece's Ambassador to the UN Anastasios Mitsialis on Nov. 16, 2009, which was approved by 85 member states.
