“Banks got bailed out – Greece got sold out” echoed in the canyons of New York’s financial district on a chilly Saturday afternoon as Greek Americans were joined by the Occupy Wall Street stalwarts who are there every day. They gathered on very short notice at 2 PM to protest the severity of the Greek austerity measures, spurred by word-of-mouth and Facebook postings on a day when thousands of Europeans in several cities marched to show their solidarity with the people of Greece.
