Memorial Service at Ground Zero for Ninth Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

Some 70 people were present for a somber memorial service held on Sat. Sep. 11, 2010 at Ground Zero to commemorate the Greek Americans who died during the terrorist attack on 9/11. The memorial service was led by Archbishop Demetrios of America, and was attended by families of the victims, members of the St. Nicholas Church, dignitaries such as the Consul General of Greece Aghi Balta and Consul of Cyprus, Koula Sophianou, Nassau political candidate George Demos and businessman Michael Jaharis.
