The students at the St. Demetrios Greek Afternoon School in Astoria could hardly contain their joy during their graduation ceremony, held on Friday afternoon June 18, 2010. This year, 16 students graduated from the St. Demetrios Greek Afternoon School in Astoria: Orestis Agathocleous, Eleni Georgiades, Constantine Kalfas, Emmanuel Karavangelis, Achilles Karagiannides, Maria-Eleni Kollaros, Nicholas Kotsakis, Anna-Alexia Markouizos, Michael Panteloukas, Constantine Pavlopoulos, Vincent Reyes, Kyriaki Sideris, Anthony Stefanides, Evangelos Sotas, Christina Tsopanides, and Catherine Hatzipavlis.
