Delegates from the 55 Greek Orthodox Communities of the Metropolis of New Jersey in New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and the Greater Philadelphia Metropolitan area attend the Metropolis' Clergy-Laity Conference which began on Sun. May 16, 2010 and ended on May 18, 2010. The assembly took place in The Venetian, located in Garfield, NJ. During the official dinner that took place on Monday May 17, 2010, Bishop Philotheos of Meloa and Greek Consul General in NY Ambassador Aghi Balta were honored, together with the owners of The Venetian, Demetris Kourgelis, Christos Gourmos, and Michael Kourgelis, as well as William Crain, local area priests, and financial supporters of the Metropolis.
