Magnesia Prefect Apostolos Papatolias visited the Thessaliko Spiti in Astoria on Mon. Feb. 22, 2010 together with LAOS' MP from Magnesia Pavlos Markakis, and Vice-Prefect Evie Adamaki, in a special event coordinated by the Aesculapian Thessalian Brotherhood and the Argonautes Association of Magnesia to discuss the organization of Mediterranean Games being planned in Volos and Larissa in 2013, the promotion of Greece, and relations between the Greek Diaspora and Greeks of Greece. They were accompanied by the Greek Consul General in NY Ambassador Aghi Balta, and representatives of the Federation of the Hellenic Societies of Greater NY. Mr. Papatolias is visiting New York to take part in a travel exhibition being organized by the New York Times.
