A young Greek American businessman has been charged by New Jersey police in the double murder of two men, which occurred late last week. Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli announced on Sat. Feb. 20, 2010 the arrest of Nicholas D. Kiriakakis, 25 years of age, of Richmond Hills, New York. The arrest is for charges related to the February 17, 2010, homicides of Jonathan Beneduce and Michael Mirasola - two acquaintances found Thursday in a bullet-ridden black Ford Explorer SUV on Oakdene Avenue in Teaneck N.J, authorities said. The two victims were described as "good friends" and acquaintances of Kiriakakis, according to the prosecutor. In a search of his home, car and business, police found two "simulated" handguns, a stun gun, and "illegally obtained prescription drugs," the prosecutor's office statement said. Molinelli said detectives had not found the murder weapon. Bail was set at $3 million, with no ten percent option. In addition to two counts of murder, Kiriakakis was charged with "possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose," in the Teaneck case.
