A celebration honoring Greek Letters was held at the Kefalonitiko Spiti (Cephalonian House) in Astoria, NY on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 24, 2010. Cephalonians living in New York like Vana Kontomerkos, Makis Tzilianos, Dionysios Kontarinis and others had an opportunity to display their literary talent. Artist/iconographer Nicholas Romanos-Brisnovalis also had a chance to display his work. The event was organized by the ‘Kefalos’ Society of NY in conjunction with the Ionian Cultural Federation, the Federation of Cephalonians and Ithacians of USA and Canada, the Cephalonian Brotherhood of NY, the ‘Dionysios Solomos’ Zakynthos Society of America, and the Greek American Literary Society.
