The Sacred Institution 'Panagia Soumela' organized an evening of Pontian heritage at the Stathakion Center in Astoria. The event was attended by Greek American from throughout the local area. The dance troupe of the 'Komninoi' Pontian Society of NY also performed. Rhode Island State Senator Leonidas Raptakis, a candidate for Secretary of State of R.I., was also on hand.
