Ioannis Sporidis is seen with his grandson Johnny. Mr. Sporidis is the uncle of two orphans from the Congo, Kostakis and Demetris Sporidis. Mr. Sporidis has been trying to bring these orphans to the US under the auspices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, but the latter rejected his requests in late December 2009. Mr. Sporidis is legally blind and cannot care for the orphans himself.
