Greek American businessman George Maragos was sworn in as Nassau County Comptroller on Sunday night Jan. 3, 2010 by Supreme Court Justice Stephen Bucaria, and officially took office the following day. Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, New York State Senator and Republican minority leader Dean Skelos – a Greek American as well – and other county legislators were in attendance at Mr. Maragos' oath of office ceremony, which took place at The Inn in Long Island's New Hyde Park. Also present were constituents from the Greek American Community, businessman, friends, and supporters.
