The Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Community of Whitestone celebrated its 34th anniversary at Terrace on the Park on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009. The event drew a large turnout, thanks to the recent establishment of the Efstathios and Stamatiki Valiotis Day School and the construction of the community's new Byzantine-style church, which is set to open on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009.
