Vasilis Bollano is an Albanian national of Greek ethnicity, currently serving as the mayor of Himara municipality, southwest Albania. Moreover, Mr. Bollano is president of Omonoia organization, which champions the rights of Albania's Greek minority, as well as member of the Unity for Human Rights Party. Mr. Bollano visited the U.S. in November 2009 at the invitation of the the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, and attended an official dinner given by Vice-President Joe Biden for His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Washington, DC.
