Vision of Byzantium Lecture at the Cleveland Museum

Over six hundred Greek Americans and other art lovers came to the Cleveland Museum to attend a lecture by Dr. Robert Cormack on art and culture in Byzantium. The lecture was sponsored by Dr. John and Helen Collis. Also seen in the photo is Cleveland Museum Educational Program Director Marjorie Williams.

The Sixth Annual Collis Lecture was held at the Cleveland Museum of Art on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The guest speaker, Professor Robin Cormack, Professor Emeritus in the History of Art, University of London; Fellow and Research Associate, Courtauld Institute of Art, presented a lecture on the topic "Visions of Byzantium: looking at the recent Royal Academy exhibition, Byzantium 330-1453."
