Greek American Harvard professor, family killed in fiery car crash

Four people, including a Greek American Harvard University professor, his wife, and mother, were killed in a car crash on New Hampshire's Route 202 in Petersborough on Monday October 12, 2009. Stephen Lagakos, 63, of Wellesley, Mass., died when his SUV struck another vehicle. The crash also fatally injured his wife, Regina Lagakos, 61, and his mother, Helen Lagakos, 94. Stephen Lagakos was a professor of biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health. The driver of the other car, who was also killed, was identified as Stephen Krause, 56, of Keene.
