Clergy-Laity Conference of the Metropolis of the Genuine Orthodox Church of America

Seen from l. to r. during the second day of sessions at the 2nd Clergy-Laity Conference of the Metropolis of the Genuine Greek Orthodox Church (GOC) of America, which took place at St. Markella Cathedral in Astoria, are Bishop Christodoulos of Theoupolis, Bishop Chrysostomos of Attica and Boeotia, Bishop Photios of Marathon, Bishop Gregory of Christianoupolis, and Rev. Theodore Giannakopoulos.
The Metropolis of the Genuine Orthodox Church of America - which follows the Julian Calendar and is based in Astoria, NY - held its 2nd Clergy Laity Conference over the weekend of October 10-11, 2009. The 6th Metropolitan Youth Conference and 2nd Philoptochos Conference were also held. Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Attica and Boetia, Bishop Gregory of Christianoupolis - Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod - and Bishop Photios of Marathon came from Greece as representatives of GOC Archbishop Chrysostom II of Athens and all Greece.
