A Matter of Leadership
Among the so many unbelievable things taking place around us and in Greece, during the previous week, we had a piece of new that gave us strength because it renewed our hope for the future of Hellenism in the U.S. And this is something that should not pass unrecognized. I am talking about the story regarding the near completion of the efforts to set up an all-day bilingual Pre-K program at the St. George Church in Trenton, NJ. That's right. And this will serve as the groundwork for the subsequent establishment of a Greek school. It's all a matter of leadership. In this particular case, the parish council president Dr. Spiros Spireas and the School Board Chairperson Dr. George Triantafillou, of Temple University, are playing a leading role. In fact, Dr. Spireas has even pledged to cover the budget shortfall - which is to be expected during the first year of the school's operation. Yes, it always comes down to a matter of leadership - in everything.
