Traditions, traditions

Antonis H. Diamataris  •  01:14 PM, April 25, 2011
Christos Anesti to all. The Greek people have included many of their traditions in the religious rites they follow, thus identifying the historical and social aspect of their lives with the religious aspect, throughout the centuries. And nowhere is there a feast with as rich an array of traditions as Pascha. These days serve as a wonderful opportunity to immerse our children in our traditions so they may come to know them better, to remember them, and to one day pass them on to their own families. Traditions are a part of our identity, and they play a very important part in shaping who we are as people and as a nation. Let's do everything we can to pass them on to the next generation, just like they were handed down to us from the previous generations. A.H.D.
