Its nice to see the Greek populace has finally woken up and is seeing populations for the selfish, self-centered crooks they really are. When I was visiting Lefkada and taking a boat tour with my family around the island, the captain pointed out the hugh villa Papoulias was building there with its wonderfull view. How does a politician afford such extravagent villas on their state salaries?

Once you get in government in Greece the gravy-train is ready to leave the station, Niko. You can bet the salary they receive is only partial compensation to many in the legislature-at least up until recently. Akis was only an extreme example of the unbridled greed and corruption among Greek politicians, he has plenty of company. Has anyone heard what the status is on that miserable scumbag? You can bet Greek politicians would sweep his hide under a rug if they thought they could get away with it.

I keep hearing rumors Philip that Akis is ready to name names but i've been hearing this for a while. I wonder if he even has any to name? Nonetheless he's never getting out along with his cousin and they can both rot in there. The one who got away with even more theft was Laliotis of Pasok. You don't hear his name anymore and no one even knows where he is!
