Greek-American Executive Charged With Stealing $1 Million From Cafe Chain
NEW YORK – Constantine Flouras, a 32 year-old executive at Pax Ventures LLC, was arrested on July 24 and charged with stealing more than $1 million over a six-year period. He is accused of grand larceny in the first degree. TNH has learned that he was held at the Manhattan House of Detention through midnight July 27 when he was released on bail after paying $250,000 in cash. Constantine Flouras, 32 years old, of Manhasset, N.Y. was arrested Tuesday, July 24 following a two-month investigation into alleged manipulation of the payroll system at Pax Ventures, the company behind the lunch chains, police said. The National Herald has learned he is being held at the Manhattan House of Detention and that a court appearance at 100 Center Street scheduled for July 27 was adjourned.
