No pension for those who don't file a tax return, it's a simple as that. Do a cross file search and sort out the deadbeats.

Thats too simple a solution Philip and makes too much sense so guess what? It'll never happen! In the US theirs loopholes in the tax laws designed by millionaires who write the laws so they themselves can benefit from it. None of them pay their fare share and again the middle class foots the bill but in the case of the US, there is a huge middle class. In the case of Greece, they just don't bother filing at all which makes it so easy to catch them. I doubt Samaras will even touch this one unless the EU forces his hand.

Greek politicians wouldn't do any of these reforms unless the TROIKA were forcing their hand. It's a pity this discipline has to be forced from the outside, but thats they way it is. Politicians in Greece get elected by never saying 'No!' to any demand, not by being fiscally sound.
