AHEPA Family Gathers to Make a New Family

On a beautiful summer day in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn Anna-Helene Panagakos and John Grossomanides Jr. were married at the Church of the Holy Cross. Perhaps coincidentally, but apropos of their positions, respectively, Grand Secretary of the Daughters of Penelope and Supreme President of the Order of AHEPA.
BROOKLYN – On a beautiful summer day in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn Anna-Helene Panagakos and John Grossomanides Jr. were married at the Church of the Holy Cross. Perhaps coincidentally, but apropos of their positions, respectively, Grand Secretary of the Daughters of Penelope and Supreme President of the Order of AHEPA, the scene beneath the Holy Cross at the Church’s solea evoked the flag of Greece as the young girls who lined up by the bride wore light blue dresses, complementing the white jackets of the little boys near the groom. The beloved Church at the Southern tip of Brooklyn was filled with happy guests and officials of the Order of AHEPA, including AHEPA Board Chairman Nicholas Karacostas and Executive director Basil Mossaidis.
