TNH Interviews Golden Dawn’s Polemic Elias Kasidiaris

BOSTON, MA – Elias Kasidiaris of the Golden Dawn Party and a Greek Parliament Member, who became famous due to an altercation on live television in Athens with KKE’s Liana Kanellis and SYRIZA’s Rena Douros, explained the details in an exclusive interview with TNH. Kasidiaris threw a glass of water at Douros, and then slapped Kanellis multiple times. He said that he does not regret his behavior, and that hundreds of strangers stop him on the street on a daily basis to congratulate him and agree that he did the right thing. Kasidiaris added that he believes he was baited into reacting as he did, a plot by his opponents to portray the Golden Dawn members as violent extremists, in order to repel voters. Regarding his attacking Kanellis, he said that she struck him in the face first. As for throwing the water at Douros, he said “I became angry because she brought up a personal matter of mine pending in court. It is improper for someone to be sarcastic on a legal issue that has yet to be decided. Douros’ party was responsible for why I was taken to court.”
