Archdiocese's Annual Budget Rises to Near $26 Million for 2013


The proposed annual budget for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, which is expected to be approved by the full session of the 41st Clergy-Laity Congress next week in Phoenix, AZ is set to be $25,532,391 for 2013 and $25,558,989 for 2014.
BOSTON, MA – The proposed annual budget for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, which is expected to be approved by the full session of the 41st Clergy-Laity Congress next week in Phoenix, AZ is set to be $25,532,391 for 2013 and $25,558,989 for 2014. The approval of the budget seems to be the sole official topic on the agenda this time as well for the upcoming Clergy-Laity Congress. Over the past decade with Archbishop Demetrios at the helm, the budget has doubled from $12 million to near $26 million. The Archdiocese's annual budget for 2011 was $22,091,653 and $23,107,519 for the 2012. In 2009, the Archdiocese's budget was $20,792,871 and rose to $21,737,385 in 2010. Back in 2009, the budget was exceeded by $4,487,133, bringing the actual cost of Archdiocesan operations to $25,180.004.
