A Greek woman 'puts an eye' on a seat in Parliament, in Western Australia


Eleni Evangelinou talks to the «National Herald» about her Greek heritage and her noble ambitions.
NICOSIA. She is a second generation Greek. She was born in Perth, English is her ‘mother’ tongue and she has fully entered the Australian community. She is a TV personality of Australia, a municipal councilor claiming the seat at Perth District, at the State Parliament of Western Australia. She knows also Greek very well. She promotes her Greek origin and is very proud of it. And one more thing….. She maintains her name in Greek: Eleni, not Helen. She became well known as Eleni
