Greek man who shot robber threating his mother charged with homicide

EUROKINISSI
Citizens rally outside a courthouse in support of a 24-year-old man charged with homicide after fatally shooting a robber who had broke into his home and threatened his mother.
AMNA---A 24-year-old college student was charged with voluntary manslaughter on Friday in relation to the shooting death of a man, an alleged armed home invader, in the former's secluded residential neighborhood in the eastern Attica prefecture township of Peania.

The man was charged with fatally wounding a 43-year-old Albanian national. An Athens prosecutor filed the charge with the extenuating circumstance that the man was acting while in the "heat of the moment" (ab irato).

In his initial statement, the 24-year-old, a veterinary student in Hungary, said he unintentionally fired his shotgun while chasing a trio of unknown men believed to have broken into at least three residences in the early morning hours of Thursday. His attorneys also said their client believed previous shotgun fire from the same neighborhood emanated from the burglars. According to reports, another neighborhood resident fired into the air to ward off a trio of robbers, believed to be the same men.

Utterly appalling. Greek police can't defend the citizens, so the Greek justice system charges citizens with murder when they defend themselves. Kiss my crusty shorts you panzy Greek authorities!!!

Too bad he wasn't able to shoot all 3 of those low lifes. The Greek justice system is a joke. A man defends his family and gets charged with it while the politicians destroyed an entire nation and are still on the payroll.

In my view that's one criminal they won't have to deal with again. They shouldn't prosecute this man, they should buy him more ammunition.

I agree one piece of garbage dead. The Greece justice system like the economy don't know what they are doing. They should give him a medal, and train its policemen in their duties.
