The perennial bachelor, Kipreos, arrived late at Dixon’s cafeteria, seating himself among his friends, John, Dimos, George, and Yiannis. “No coffee?” Yiannis asked, worried he’d be asked to treat. “Wha…? Oh! Yeah! I forgot!” he rose and went to the coffee urn as the others watched him. “Something’s up with Kipreos?” George surmised; the others agreed. “He’s pale and distracted, too.”
