Moscow, April 25, Interfax - The Russian Orthodox Church has come up with a statement as religious rights of Orthodox population in the occupied territory of Cyprus were violated again.

At least Moscow stands up for Cyprus, that's more than President Obama has ever done. When it comes to Hellenic issues this Administration is AWOL and has been since day 1 of their election.

The Greeks need to develop some sort of strategic alliance with Russia. Putin shows interest in Greek orthodoxy and it's affairs. Obama doesn't understand Christianity and is un-sensitive towards it. We may have a better shot with the Russians on Cyprus. The west clearly doesn't care.

Obama doesn't understand much of anything. He's managed to market his gift of reading teleprompters with near news-anchor delivery into one term at the White House, but has accomplished precious little otherwise. Once the Supreme Court throws out Obama-care (and they will) he's left with a $ 1 Trillion stimulus plan that was a bust and a hundred or so golf games. Since he hasn't done a damn thing to promote issues important to Hellenes I say good riddance! Give Mitt Romney a chance, we've seen 'Obama the Condescending Saint', I don't need to see a sequel. Let Michelle vacation on their dime next year, the taxpayers are done did out.

Obama I would say is probably the worst president we have had since Mr. Carter. He is anti-Christine, and a half Moslem. He is anti-Greece in his dealings, and it would be interesting to have a alliance with Russia for Greece. It would surround Turkey in the North with Russia and Greece and Cyprus on the other. The Turks would be weary to start something because of the threat that Russia would impose on them. What a fair world it would be for the Christian World. At that junction Greece wouldn't need the athesist, anti-christian United States for a sometimes alley.

We haven't had a 'good' President since Ronald Reagan, Nicholas. Obama is no worse than George W. Bush, they were both self-serving sycophants in my view. Obama is smarter than Bush, but that's not saying much-Bush was a moron. Obama talks the talk better than any President we've had in a long while, but it's all empty rhetoric. It's meaningless, just like his promise to the Armenians. Time for someone else in the White House.

Phillip you are right. The only president I have seen with any scope of what a American President should be was Ronald Reagan. Our present mess happens to also been racist, and self serving to his own kind. What we need is a powerful fair, balanced president who doesn't make mistakes like he did in Egypt, Tunisia, Health Care Law, Stimulus, Banking Bankruptcy, etc.. Question we should be asking how did we get this mess in the first place?

They've made it to profitable to be President in this country. Face it, every President we've had recently has made 10's of millions of Dollars for their term in office. They leave after a couple of terms and write a book, their wife writes a book, their kids write a book and sometimes the pet writes a book (Socks the cat???). They give speeches at college commencements for $ 50,000 a pop. Are honorary members on a dozen Boards of Trustees, collecting $ 100,000 a year for each one. Add it all up and an ex US President who enters office as an average American leaves office as a multi-millionaire. Look at the Clintons, who are reportedly worth in excess of $ 50 million. What kind of folks do you get running for that office when you have that payoff waiting for you? Hardly our best. US politics stinks to high heaven of corruption, just like Greece. Only our corruption is almost all legal, it's a part of the system. A smart guy knows what policy's to push when he's in office, so he gets the payoff once he leaves office. It absolutely stinks-welcome to US politics circa 2012!

I don't think we'll see another Ronald Reagan like president down the road anytime soon. Bush senior was a far better president than his son. Obama is by far the worst i've ever seen. Our choices since Reagan have been horrible. This is why Greece needs to set itself up somehow with Russia. The US or Europe will never protect Greece in any conflict with its neighbors. That moron Bush jr. recognizes FYROM as Macedonia! And thats when he thought Greece was strong. Imagine now that Greece barely has an economy what they think of us! A stronger alliance with Russia and Israel is in Greece's best interests and in Turkey's worst.

Carter was the worst President in my lifetime, by far. Obama is just another empty-suit with a pleasant demeanor. Bush Jr. was a dolt. Bush Sr. was an educated dolt. And you're right, Greece needs to have a close relationship with Russia-because they can't count on the west.
