Beloved Fr. Kefalas Died Palm Sunday

NEW YORK – The Parish of St. John of Blue Point on Long Island is experiencing a Holy Week that feels like more than just a commemoration of events 2000 years ago. The community’s pastor of more than 30 years, Father John Kefalas passed away suddenly on Palm Sunday, April 8. The outpouring of grief and love will culminate in a celebration of the resurrection of Christ on Holy Saturday, which will be permeated with prayers for the repose of the soul and faith also in the resurrection of a beloved spiritual father.
