A Great Day to be Greek, Enjoying the Parade in NYC
To the Editor: I was in Manhattan for the Greek Independence Day Parade. I was at the pre-parade reception held inside the beautiful Pierre Hotel. It was interesting seeing the dignitaries giving speeches about the special meaning of Greek independence made by the sacrifices of the Hellenes in 1821.
