ATHENS, Greece (AP) — A new poll published in Greece shows a trend towards a fragmented parliament, with no party gaining an overall majority in elections expected next month and the conservative front-runner losing ground to the socialists. The poll, published Sunday in Kathimerini newspaper, shows the coalition partners, the conservatives and the socialists, getting 38 percent between them, with the conservatives slipping 2.5 points from the previous poll, two weeks ago, to 22.5 percent, and the socialists gaining 4.5 points, to 15.5 percent.

Three leftist parties gain 36.5 percent between them, down from 39 percent.

12 miserable parties, unbelievable. It's amazing that anything gets done in Greece with the parties spending all their time negotiating power-sharing deals with each other. I'm all for 'third parties' when the two main parties aren't getting the job done, but 12 is far too many-especially when the two main parties are getting such a small percentage of the support. Looks like nothing much is going to get done in the next Greek government. Any reforms will have to be pushed by the TROIKA, or they'll get lost in endless debate.
